Gallery: Annual Manea Gala is full of fun, acrobatics, and entertainment as crowds flock to event
Crowds lined the streets to watch the annual Manea Gala parade at the weekend, before heading to the village park for an afternoon of fun.
A bus carrying the Year 6 school leavers from Manea school was part of the parade that also included tractors, walkers, and vintage cars.
The afternoon’s fun at the playing field kicked off with a gravity-defying display by Team MAD (Mountain Bike Aerial Display Team) who had the crowds gasping as they performed acrobatics over their heads.
This was followed by an entertaining display of flyball which saw the four-legged participants race up and down the main ring.
Other attractions included a fun dog show, fancy dress competition, classic cars, and the main draw.
Children’s entertainer Gary Tustin held youngsters spell-bound as he performed a series of magic tricks and created balloon sculptures.
Fair rides, stalls, a licensed bar, and bouncy castles all added to the fun. While Tilly the village’s historic fire engine pump was on display having just been brought back to the village, ready to go on permanent display after some renovation work.
The day ended with party in the park which kicked off with a performance by Manea Silver Band, followed by T&T Disco, and finally live music from the Lenny Stone Band.
Organisers were delighted with the day’s success and thanks everyone who helped in anyway or went along on the day to support the event.
