Anticipation building for second Fenland Business Awards at March Braza Club




The finalists have been named and the anticipation is building towards the second Fenland Citizen Business Awards which takes place in two weeks’ time.

The winners will be announced at a glitzy black tie awards ceremony being held at March Braza Club on Friday, March 15.

These awards are being brought to you by Iliffe Media, publishers of the Fenland Citizen, and top accountancy firm Whitings LLP is the headline sponsor again this year.

The awards night will kick off at 6.30pm with a drinks reception followed by the meal at 7pm.

There are 12 categories carrying awards for 2024 and the winners will be announced after dinner from around 9pm onwards on the night.

Shortlisted in the Best New Start-Up category are: Advanced Precision Technologies Limited, Nine Twelve Hospitality Limited and Boxcross UK.

Shortlisted in the Best Social Enterprise category (sponsored by Clarion Futures) are: Blackfields Creative, FACT Community Transport and People and Animals UK CIC.

Shortlisted in the Business Innovation category (sponsored by Nestle Purina) are: Advanced Precision Technologies Ltd, Goldstar Metal Traders Ltd and Doorbrite Ltd.

Shortlisted in the Business of the Year category (sponsored by Decisive IT Ltd) are: Goldstar Metal Traders Ltd, Sunlounger Travel and Paragon Motor Group.

Shortlisted in the Businessperson of the Year category (sponsored by Mapus-Smith & Lemmon LLP) are: Holly Jean - Inkley Media Design & Print, James Burton - Swann Edwards and Lauren Siddons of Lauren & Co at Be Fabulous.

Shortlisted in the Customer Care category are: March Fast Fit & Servicing, Fenland Families and Baby Bank CIC and Attention 2 Detail.

Shortlisted in the Employee/Te a m o f t h e Ye a r c at e go r y (sponsored by Nestle Purina) are: The Med (team) and Inkley Media Design & Print (team)

Shortlisted in the Environmental Champion category are: Fenland Families and Baby Bank CIC, Goldstar Metal Traders Ltd and The Little Fenland Eco Shop.

Shortlisted in the Excellence in Agriculture category (sponsored by Fenland District Council) are: Fenland Soil and Voutt Agriculture.

Shortlisted in the Independent Retailer of the Year category are: Lovell & Ward Ltd, Coakley Opticians and The Little Fenland Eco Shop.

The winners of the Apprentice/Trainee of the Year and Readers Choice categories will be announced live at the event.

The judges, as a panel, will decide on a recipient for the Judge’s Prestige Award. This is a special award given by headline sponsors, Whitings LLP, in recognition of overall achievement and will be presented to one of the finalists on the night. All finalists will be considered for this award, regardless of whether or not they are category winners.
