Armed police called to Elm incident which left man seriously injured




Police have launched an investigation after a man was left with serious injuries following reports of an attack in Elm.

The incident saw armed police officers attend the scene in All Saints Close just after lunch.

A spokesperson for Cambridgeshire Constabulary said: “We were called at about 2.30am on Friday (28 July) with reports of violence in All Saints Close, Elm.

“It was reported a man was attacked by three other men who were wearing dark clothing and arrived in a black car.

“It was also suggested that a firearm had been seen, but that no shots were fired.

“Armed police attended the scene, but the suspects could not be located.

“The victim, a man in his 30s, was taken to hospital with serious injuries, but he is no longer receiving treatment.

“No arrests have been made, but an investigation is ongoing. It is believed to be an isolated incident.”
