Fenland soap firm has a clean way to support Breast Cancer Awareness Month
Fenland soap company Bloom In Soap is 'Wearing it Pink' this October by joining people around the world in raising awareness and supporting those affected by breast cancer.
For every one of the brand’s pink skincare products sold during Breast Cancer Awareness month, Bloom In Soap, which is based in Chatteris, will donate 10% to the charity Breast Cancer Now.
Breast Cancer Now is the UK's most widely known breast cancer charity, dedicated to providing support and fostering hope for those impacted by secondary breast cancer.
They are actively involved in ground-breaking research initiatives aimed at addressing critical knowledge gaps related to secondary breast cancer. Additionally, they offer invaluable support from the time of diagnosis and actively campaign for immediate change to improve support, treatment, and care.
Breast Cancer Awareness Month is marked by pink ribbons, illuminated landmarks, and numerous events dedicated to spreading awareness and raising funds for breast cancer research.
Alison Liefsen, founder of Bloom In Soap, wanted to contribute to the charity’s research by utilising its pink ribbon theme to help raise funds for the charity and to help support their research into the disease.
As Alison aptly put it: "Pink is more than just a colour; it's a symbol of hope, strength, and solidarity. That’s why I decided to make a donation from the sales of my pink-themed skincare products; not only do these products nourish your skin, they will help support a cause that impacts millions worldwide every day.”
Creating natural skincare and well-being products from her garden studio, Alison makes soaps, shampoo bars, candles and skincare by hand using all-natural ingredients.
Alison is passionate about producing products that are kind to the skin and the environment - the range of products feature plantable wildflower seed packaging.
“To support my charity drive, look out for the pink ribbons on my website; for each of these products sold, I promise to donate 10% of the sale to Breast Cancer Now.
“If you prefer, please donate directly to the charity or share Bloom In Soap’s posts on social media to allow me to reach more people and raise even more money for this amazing charity.”
