Blustery weather failed to blow fun at the annual Parson Drove car, bike and trike show
The weekend’s wet and blustery weather faile dto stop the fun at the annual Parson Drove car, bike and trike show.
Numbers may have been slightly down but the show went ahead as planned and there was praise from those who turned out for the organisation and what was on offer.
It was the 15th anniversary of the show which included the popular music festival on Saturday, followed by the car show on Sunday.
There were large numbers of people who spent the weekend under canvas and in caravans camping out on the Parson Drove playing field so they could enjoy the full experience, which also included a large number of trade stands, fair rides, charity stalls, games and refreshments.
Music on Saturday included performances from Groove Hounds, Martha’s Wood, and Light Skies Darken.
On Sunday not only were all the spectacular vehicles judged and prizes awarded but event goers were able to enjoy entertainment from Gorilla Circus – the Fenland based circus company, and live music from the John Noakes Experience.
All money raised by the weekend will go to the two local air ambulances – East Anglian Air Ambulance and Magpas - and other local charities.
So far £98,000 has been raised over the years and this year’s total will see that easily top over £100,000.
