Body found in Wisbech as police look for missing man David Cross





A body has been found in a town river as police search for a missing man.

David Cross,35, originally from King’s Lynn, was last seen on CCTV on January 31 at 11.24pm in the passageway by Nene Terrace in Wisbech.

Police who were searching for David have found the body of a man – which has yet to be formally identified – in the river in South Brink, near Wisbech.

Officers say that David’s family have been made aware.

A spokesperson from Cambridgeshire Police said: “The death is being treated as unexplained at this time and an investigation is ongoing.”

The police’s Major Crime Unit took over the investigation into David’s disappearance yesterday.

David was reported missing on Sunday, February 4 by staff at the Ferry Project.
