Body of missing Wisbech man Arvydas Petrauskas discovered in River Nene

A body was pulled from a Fenland river this afternoon.

Police were called earlier today to the River Nene in Wisbech, where the body was discovered.

Officers have since confirmed it to be that of missing Wisbech man Arvydas Petrauskas.

The 31-year-old was last seen at around 7.20am on Friday, March 21, at his home on Malvern Gardens.

Police had been growing “increasingly concerned” about his welfare, while people had organised a search in a bid to find him.
