The Wisbech Recycling Centre has re-opened after it was closed this morning as a result of a bomb scare.

The centre, in Boleness Road, Wisbech, was shut just after 10am after staff found a suspicious object.

“The bomb squad have been called to deal with the situation.

“At the moment we do not know what the object is.”

The army bomb squad was called to the centre.
