March bonfire spreads to conifer trees




Fire crews were called out to extinguish a bonfire over the weekend.

A crew from March was called out to reports of some trees on fire on Peas Hill Road in the town at 8.34pm.

The crew used a hose reel to extinguish a bonfire which had spread to conifers and returned to their station by 9.30pm.

The cause of the fire was accidental.
