Urgent repairs to a railway bridge are taking place at Manea, blocking all lines between Peterborough and Ely. Consequently, train services have been suspended between these stations until the end of service today (Friday).

Buses are replacing trains between Peterborough and Ely taking approximately an hour to complete the usual 35 minute journey between these stations.
Passengers travelling to or from Manea were told to use the help point at the station or speak to a member of staff at Ely to arrange taxis.
The following CrossCountry services will run as planned: 20:21 Stansted Airport – Birmingham New Street; 19:22 Birmingham New Street – Stansted Airport; 20:22 Birmingham New Street - Cambridge.
To help you complete your journey, CrossCountry customers may use the following alternatives: East Midlands Trains via any reasonable routes; Greater Anglia on any reasonable route including between London Liverpool Street and Stansted Airport and between Stansted Airport and Ely; Great Northern between London Kings Cross and Peterborough / Cambridge; Virgin Trains between London Euston and Birmingham New Street / Nuneaton; London Northwestern Railway between London Euston and Birmingham New Street / Nuneaton; London Underground between London Euston and Tottenham Hale.
Customers are advised to travel via London due to the limited capacity of the buses.

East Midlands Trains have lifted their ticket restrictions, and you may travel on earlier or later trains than originally booked. In addition, if you decide not to travel today, you may use your ticket to travel tomorrow instead.
Greater Anglia ticket restrictions have been lifted and customers may travel on an earlier or later service than booked.
Customers may also use the buses provided by East Midlands Trains between Ely and Peterborough CrossCountry services via any reasonable route.
