Busy Norwood Road in March set to close for water works

A busy town road is set to be closed to traffic from Monday, September 16 for five days while Anglia Water carry out works.
The section of Norwood Road between number 231 and the Russell Avenue junction will be closed to through traffic from Monday until Friday, September 20.
The closure is to facilitate a water connection and other associated works being carried out near the highway.
The alternative route for vehicles is via Wisbech Road, A141, Hostmoor Avenue, Melbourne Road, Hundred Road, and vice versa.
Anglia Water has until March 15, 2026 to carry out the work, but it expected to be carried out next week and the road will open on Friday, or when the work is complete if sooner.
