Wisbech Western bypass issue is far more important than rail line, A47 dualling or incinerator
Wisbech Western Bypass – it seems to have withered into insignificance with the debates on a rail link with March, dualling of the A47 and now the incinerator issue.
If only the “powers-that-be” could realise that the bypass is of far more importance than any other issue – 99% of motorists coming towards Wisbech are only coming here to get over one of the bridges to continue their journey on the other side of town.
This fact will require £millions of think tanks, surveys and consultants over a period of years to be confirmed.
To the west of Wisbech a new school is proposed on Barton Road, a new care home is to be built on Barton Road, an Orchard Town for 10,000 is proposed and commercial development off Weasenham Lane.
A Western bypass would enable free flow of traffic for all of these developments and avoid the gridlocks and dangers inflicted on the town.
