Fire incidents at March




A car fire and a blaze on open ground, both at March, were attended by firefighters on Wednesday, September 28.

Crews from March and Chatteris were called to a fire in the open on Wisbech Road, March at 9.15am.

They extinguished an incident involving a bonfire that had got out of control and spread to conifers.

Crews returned to their stations by 10.50am, before reinspecting the area later in the afternoon.

At 10.15pm, a crew from March was called to a car fire on Floods Ferry Road, March.

Firefighters extinguished a car that was well alight, before returning to their station by 11.30pm.

The cause of the fire was believed to be deliberate.
