Emergency services descend on Sixteen Foot Bank in Christchurch after car found submerged in water




Emergency services rushed to a car which was in a river and submerged in water.

Police were called at about 4.20pm yesterday to reports of a car in the Sixteen Foot Bank at Christchurch.

Emergency services attended the scene, and specialist teams searched the vehicle.

Nobody was found inside and it is believed to have been there for some time.

A spokesperson for Cambridgeshire police said: “An investigation into the circumstances surrounding how the car came to be in the water is ongoing.”
