Police rush to Sixteen Foot Bank near Wimblington after car crashes into river and submerges




Police descended on a river where a car had gone in and submerged in water.

Officers were called to the Sixteen Foot Bank near Wimblington at 8.07am yesterday by the vehicle owner, who informed them of the car in the water.

The owner said the two people inside the vehicle at the time were safely out of the car.

There were no reports of any injuries sustained during the incident.
