The firefighters from Wisbech Fire Station were the first to confirm their attendance and said they would bring their fire engine with them - much to the delight of the people who live at the care home.

During their visit, these inspiring guests enjoyed sharing stories with the people who live and work at the care home. Their stories gave people an even deeper appreciation for the hard work and dedication they show in supporting people across the community.

From responding to emergencies to conducting school talks, their stories truly inspired the people at Glennfield.

To say thank you for their hard work, the team gifted each attendee a reusable flask, which they can take back at any time for a free refill of tea or coffee.

Guests were very grateful for this and mentioned how useful the flasks would be for keeping warm, especially during late-night emergency calls.

This event was a fantastic success, and the team at Glennfield was grateful for the opportunity to show appreciation to their local heroes.

They remain committed to fostering a strong sense of community and continuing to support those who work tirelessly to keep their community safe.
