Aria Court Care Home in March celebrates local heroes by delivering treats to ‘hardworking professionals’
A care home is showing its appreciation for emergency services as it begins delivering treats to them.
Aria Court care home in March has launched Aria’s Thursday Treats, an initiative designed to show appreciation and support for the emergency services and healthcare professionals in the town.
The initiative, led by Amber Christou, Aria Court’s customer relations manager, was created as a way to give back to the hardworking people who serve the community every day.
“We wanted to do something meaningful – a small gesture to say thank you for all that they do”, Amber said.
With the support of the home's kitchen team, freshly baked goods are prepared every week and personally delivered to local services.
The initiative kicked off with a visit to the local fire station, where Aria’s Tasty Treats were warmly received.
Since then, the team has extended their visits to the ambulance station, police station, and local GP surgeries – spreading kindness and delicious treats across the town.
Sreeja Vijayan, home manager at Aria Court, shared her thoughts on the initiative: “We are incredibly proud of Aria’s Thursday Treats. It’s a small but powerful way for us to connect with and support the wider community.
“Our blue light professionals work tirelessly, and it means so much to be able to show our appreciation in a personal way.”
The response from the community has been overwhelmingly positive, with recipients expressing heartfelt gratitude for the unexpected pick-me-up during their busy days.
