Staff at Orchard House care home in Wisbech praised after helping resident make it to daughter’s wedding

Staff at Orchard House care home in Wisbech have been praised after helping a resident make it to her daughter’s wedding.

Lifestyle lead Miranda Robinson and administrator Kelly Barnes helped get 76-year-old Angela Gregory ready for the wedding of her daughter Sue Gregory-Martin, at Leverington Church, and also took her to the ceremony.

Newlywed Sue thanked Miranda and Kelly, saying: “It meant the world to us.”

Other daughter Helen Palmer added: “It was a true blessing for mum to be there, a moment I’ll truly cherish in my heart forever. Thank you to everyone who made this possible.”

Angela herself said: “I was delighted to be able to make it to my daughter’s wedding thanks to the staff who supported me. It was absolutely beautiful, and the first time I got to see Susan’s wedding dress was when she was walking down the aisle. The colours were perfect, and it was just magical. I was very emotional but proud.”

Miranda said it was an absolute honour to help Angela, and Kelly added that it was wonderful to capture a beautiful photo with both of her daughters at the church.
