Carer celebrates milestone service at Rose Lodge Care Home in Wisbech

Rose Lodge care home, in Wisbech, was full of celebrations for one of their staff who has celebrated 20 years of service.

Joyce Turney started at Rose Lodge in July 2004 as a senior care assistant and then completed her Care Practitioner course in May 2019, meaning she can to support residents who have a nursing need.

General manager Meg Jones said: “Joyce is a well-respected and liked member of our team with both residents, visitors and colleagues and it was so special to be able to celebrate her today and the loyalty and dedication she has shown to our residents and the home over the 20 years she has been with us, thank you, Joyce.”

Joyce said: “Thank you so much to everyone, I wasn’t expecting anything and it’s lovely to be recognised like this. I love working here and can’t imagine being anywhere else.”

Joyce was treated by her colleagues and Barchester Healthcare to flowers, cards, a beauty voucher, and a £250 Love2Shop voucher and was then whisked off for lunch.
