Firefighters used specialist equipment to rescue casualty following crash on Wimblington Road in Manea

Emergency services were sent to the scene of a crash on a Fenland back road.

Fire appliances from Chatteris and March were called at 11.15pm on Friday to reports of a crash on Wimblington Road in Manea.

Using specialist equipment firefighters released a casualty who was left in the care of ambulance crews.

The crews returned to their stations by midnight.
