Chatteris supermarket serves up the footy snacks for Fenland schools

Jack’s Supermarket supported local high schools in celebration of Schools’ Football Week with a selection of healthy drinks and snacks to keep the team members energised during their activities.

Schools’ Football Week is an English Schools’ Football Association initiative designed not only to highlight the huge scale of Schools’ Football in England, but also as an opportunity for schools, teams and clubs from across the country to showcase the talent of their pupils, dedication of their teachers and coaches and the benefits that playing schools’ football brings to their school.

Cromwell Community College and Neale-Wade Academy collected the donations from Jack’s in Fenland Way, in time for the week of football.

Jack’s also sponsors local grassroots teams in the area, including March Town Athletics.

Peter Lonsdale, store manager, said: “Schools’ Football Week is a brilliant opportunity for children to get outside, have fun and enjoy being able to play sport with their school friends again. The local community is so important to us, from the smallest and youngest members to the elder citizens, and these drinks and snacks are just a little something extra to keep the school teams energised and excited about finally being able to enjoy sport together again, especially after such a turbulent year.”
