Co-op Upwell now open

Co-op has opened a new food store in Upwell, following a £566,000 investment creating 12 local jobs.

Located on Town Street, the 2,400sq ft convenience store runs on 100 per cent renewable electricity and will open between 7am-10pm daily.

The store includes a bakery and an Everground coffee machine which is Co-op’s own brand Fairtrade hot chocolate, coffee and Tea. Alongside this is a focus on fresh, healthy products, meal ideas, food-to-go, award winning wines, ready meals and pizzas, free-from, vegan and plant-based products and, everyday essentials.

It also includes self-scanning tills and customer car parking to make shopping easier. Upwell will also have John Lewis Click & Collect from next Friday, as well as already having Amazon Lockers. Grocery Click & Collect through Co-op's own online shop is also available.

Students in Upwell who are TOTUM cardholders – the new name for NUS extra – also receive a 10 per cent discount at the Co-op.
