Using software, apps, and hardware such as AR glasses, augmented reality overlays digital content onto real-life environments and objects.

Their activities support artists to deliver dynamic, imaginative new experiences for the public.

In Wisbech Collusion will develop a new town-wide augmented reality (AR) trail in partnership with MarketPlace – the organisation set up to bring creativity and culture to Fenland – as part of their exciting year of community boosting arts programming.

The trail will celebrate Wisbech and Fenland ecology, one of the country’s most fascinating natural landscapes.

AR trails are an innovative way of enlivening town centres, turning static landmarks into ‘markers’ for incredible digital artworks that breathe new life into the built environment.

Recruitment is now open for FUSE Wisbech, for young creatives aged 16 to 30 who will spearhead the project.

The monthly workshops are free to attend and involve pizza in a warm and welcoming environment for those at all levels of experience.

Additional workshops and opportunities will be offered throughout the year based on specialisms that emerge from the group and as required for the project.

In 2024, the FUSE group in King’s Lynn had members with interests spanning animation, poetry, writing, music, graphic design, games design and street arts, generating an exciting fusion of creativity.

They co-created Kinema of Dreams, Collusion’s animated Halloween spectacular based on the history of cinema in King’s Lynn. Young creatives in Wisbech can now take part in the fun too.

Through signposting and career pathways FUSE members have gone on to receive professional credits, creative commissions, found meaningful employment and creative collaborators, establishing their exciting new careers.
