Coronation street party beats the rain in Friday Bridge

Rain failed to stop the fun and celebrations a village street party to mark the King’s coronation.

Hosted jointly by Dotties Tea Room and the Chequers Inn the party in Friday Bridge proved a hit with residents, despite the appalling weather on Saturday.

There as life music from the Tennessee Tooters, food and drink and lots of family fun on offer too.

Dotties Tea Room posted to say a massive thank-you to everyone who turned out including pub regulars who helped set up on Saturday morning.

The spokesperson added: “It was nice to see a few new faces and great to see so many of our lovely regular customers.”

There was so much cake left over Dotties is hosting a half-price Coronation cakes event today (Monday) for anyone who fancies a slice.
