Long Sutton couple left baffled after strange orange glow seen over town last night

Strange orange glows hovering over the Long Sutton area last night (Sunday, November 15) has left a couple baffled.

The couple, who did not wish to be named, spotted two orange glows in the skies above their home at around 6.50pm.

They were so surprised by the lights that they are hoping if anyone else in the area also spotted them.

The man said: "I was looking out of the window when I saw this orange glow flying over us. It stopped dead and we were watching it and then it disappeared.

"We were talking about it and then another one went across and disappeared straight away.

"I honestly don't know what it was but I don't think it was a plane. The lights on a plane flash and there was absolutely no sound.

"The only thing that can hover is a helicopter but you can hear those and there was no sound with this.

"I don't think it was a balloon as it was going too fast and and in a straight line.

"There was also no cloud cover when they disappeared.

"We are baffled and would like to know if anyone else saw it."
