Cromwell Community College students impress again with GCSE results
Students and staff at Cromwell Community College are celebrating after receiving yet another year of excellent GCSE results, with many students achieving a full set of grades at 8 and 9.
As the Covid-19 restrictions this year have caused written exams to be cancelled, students have received centre-assessed grades estimated by teachers based on a compilation of work throughout the course and results in mock and progress assessments.
There were many outstanding individual performances with many students achieving grades at the highest levels. This has allowed many of them to gain entrance to Cromwell’s Sixth form and the other Post 16 Colleges.
Headteacher of Cromwell Community College, Jane Horn, said: “I am incredibly proud of our students who have achieved another set of fantastic achievements this year, despite all the challenges they have faced.
“These results demonstrate the consistent hard work and commitment our students have given to their studies throughout their time at Cromwell Community College.
“I wish them all the greatest success in whatever they choose to move on to in the next academic year.
“I am also incredibly grateful to our dedicated teachers who inspire and motivate our students, and who have provided them with support throughout this period of change. The success of the college would not be possible without their contributions and support.”
