Dancing the night way at Wisbech Mayor’s ball

Nearly 150 people enjoyed dancing the night away at the Wisbech Mayor’s Ball.

Mayor David Hodgson and his wife Judy have brought back the ball, which was held at Wisbech St Mary Community Centre on Friday, November 27.

A total of 147 people attended, including mayors from other towns, who were entertained by Lula May and Catch 22.

Guests were welcomed by the Beadle, Trevor Longmuir

Cllr Hodgson said: “The evening was a resounding success raising £1,833 for the Mayors Charities Fund and £860 of that was raised by the raffle prizes presented by many businesses and friends in the town.”
