Developer Allison Homes East gives Whittlesey Scout group a fundraising boost

A fundraising effort by a local Scout group has been given a boost by a housing developer.

Whittlesey Squirrels, Beavers, Cubs, Scouts, and Explorers are busy fundraising to enable more of them to enjoy camps and planned activities such as paddleboarding by purchasing new equipment.

The group has an upcoming bingo night on Saturday, April 5, and Allison Homes East assisted this effort by donating a White Company hamper to act as the main prize.

Dan Bursnall, the housebuilders marketing manager, delivered the hamper, along with goody bags for all the children at a recent Beavers night.

Fran Cox of Whittlesey Scouts and Beavers said: “Scouts are doers and give-it-a-goers, and we are constantly striving to provide them with new challenges and goals to achieve, so this contribution from Allison Homes to our fundraiser is a big help, and the children really enjoyed their goody bags.”

Kelly Toms, sales and marketing director at Allison Homes East, said: “We are delighted to support Whittlesey Scouts and Beavers. They do excellent work in the community, and we wish them all the best in their future adventures.”

Allison Homes East is currently building 175 homes, including 35 affordable, off Drybread Road, north of its existing Whittlesey Green development.
