A couple are calling for help to find a woman who helped create a lasting memory on their big day in the 90s.

As Izzy and Steve Cookson celebrate 25 years of marriage this year, they would like to find the woman who Steve pinched a chip from on their wedding day at St Peter’s Church in Wisbech on Saturday, September 18, 1999.

The couple had just got married at 1pm that day when, as they walked out of the church, an unidentified woman was walking past with a cone of chips.

Steve “cheekily” pinched a chip from her - and the moment was caught on camera by photographer David Stapleton.

Neither Izzy nor Steve know who the lady is, and would love to celebrate by meeting with her to recreate the picture - or just to buy her a bag of chips.

Izzy said: “We have no idea who she is.

“It would be lovely to celebrate by meeting with her to recreate the picture - my hubby won't fit into his wedding suit though!

“I would love to achieve this as sadly my hubby has had open heart surgery three times, a pacemaker, and has stage four heart failure.

“We are open to the thought that she may want to remain anonymous.”
