Police seize car on A142 between Chatteris and Mepal after driver was found to have no licence or insurance

Another car has been taken off the roads for being driven illegally after the vehicle’s occupants gave false information to the police.

Police said one of the occupants pretended to be the older sister of the other after being stopped over the weekend by the Rural Crime Action Team on the A142 between Chatteris and Mepal.

They had to find an alternative way home, as officers seized the car and reported the driver for not having a licence or insurance.
