Drivers: 'Use common sense over traffic fumes'
Published: 15:00, 08 March 2020
I have read your article on air pollution in the Fenland Citizen (February 26).
As I walked down a road in March where traffic was stationary at traffic lights I could smell the fumes and thought to myself the engines should be switched off at lights.
If this was made compulsory (mine is off at lights) it would make a difference.
You can sit there for five minutes and, with all those cars ticking over, pollution is inevitable.
No good relying on electric cars – just common sense in our current cars.
There are many sets of lights in central March.
