Eastern Region Donkey show returns to Fenland garden centre

Donkeys strutted their stuff in Fenland at the weekend for the third annual Eastern Region Donkey Show.

Organised by Liz Wright from Wimblington, the show was hosted by Skylark Garden Centre.

Liz was helped on the day by steward Lindsey Coker from March, while Sarah Prior from Outwell was the judge.

Entries came from across the region and this year included a larger than usual number of miniature donkeys.

Jade Weaver, who had three entries, took the coveted best in show trophy with one of her donkeys.

As well as adults there were classes for children too.

Liz said: "It was a really good day. This is the third time we have managed to hold the show, which has been cancelled over the past few years because of covid and then last year because of the fuel shortage at the time."
