Dog lovers can show off their beloved pooches and help raise money for charity when a fun dog show is held on Sunday.

The Wisbech Retired Greyhound Trust is holding the event in aid of the Pet Blood Bank at the Outwell Road car boot field in Emneth from 11.30am. There will be a total of 14 classes on the day, including best puppy, best fancy dress, and most handsome boy. Representatives from the Pet Blood Bank will be on hand to talk to visitors about the charity, which provides a national canine blood bank. There will also be stalls to browse during the event, and a raffle. Class entry costs £1 per dog, per class, and stall pitches are available for £5. For more information, and to book a pitch, contact Barbara Townsend, who runs the trust, on 01945 430311 or 07717 217347. Barbara said the charity was desperate for donations of raffle prizes. They can be taken to the trust’s kennels in School Road, Marshland St James, or brought along on the show day.
