End of the road for Wisbech based coach holiday company Notts Johnson
A family run coach tour company has announced it is closing after 16 years of ‘happy memories’.
Nott Johnsons, which is run by husband and wife team Eric and Kim Nott, has advertised news of the closure in this week’s Citizen, saying they will no longer be operating from June 30 and all tours and excursions after that date have been cancelled.
The Wisbech company was founded by the couple in February 2008 when they purchased the then Outwell-based Johnson Coaches.
According to an article in the March edition of Discovering March magazine Nott Johnsons became part of the Wisbech-based Hosier Xecutive group operated by Sam Hosier – which also owns Andrews Travel.
The aim was for Eric and Kim to remain at the front of the coach company which offers holidays and day excursions across the UK.
Hosier Xecutive specialises in luxury journeys for 1-49 passengers to airports, seaports, and A to B transfers as well as cars for weddings.
Both Nott Johnsons and Hosier Xecutive have been contacted for a comment, but have so far not responded.
On the coach company’s Facebook page in April there was an appeal for suggestions for special interest trips for this summer including theatre outings and trips to stately homes and gardens in addition to those already planned.
The advert on page eight of today’s Citizen says: “Nott Johnsons are sad to announce that they will close on 30th June 2024, and all of our advertised excursions and holidays after this date have been cancelled.
“We would like to thank our customers, past and present, for all of their support over the last 16 years, – we have had some lovely times and have lots of great memories.”
