Entries open for this year's Fenland Poet Laureate competition

The Fenland Poet Laureate Awards are now open for entry.

This year’s adjudicator for both the adult and the young Award is poetry author Elisabeth Sennitt Clough.

Entries should be typed in a legible font and mailed to: PO Box 1523, Peterborough PE2 2XZ.

Ensure you pay the correct postage, as the administrators cannot be held responsible for entries that require additional postage costs. The deadline for entries is August 31.

To be eligible for entry, you must live, work or attend school in the administrative district of Fenland.

Poems may be written in any poetic form, from free verse to a sestina. Experimental forms, such as redacted poetry/blackouts/cut-ups are also welcome. Entries should reference Fenland or the fen landscape.
