Looking for something fun to do with the family over the school holidays without needing to dig deep into your pockets?

This golf and activity centre ticks so many boxes for all different ages ranging from fun events on a golf course to exciting electric quad rides and bouncy castles of all shapes and sizes.

“We had the idea of providing a really fun day out for families that won’t cost the earth, which is how we came up with this new facility,” said Chris Kirby, who co-owns Priory Golf & Activity Centre in Wimblington.

“Having fun with the kids doesn’t need to mean always needing to head off to the coast.

“Parents, grandparents and child minders are always on the lookout for things to do with young children and we offer so much at so little cost.”

But don’t let the name fool you; it’s not just about golf!

Ever wanted to have a go on a quad bike or try your luck at foot golf or crazy golf?

Priory Golf & Activity Centre also offers electrical quads for those seeking some really fast and exhilarating fun.

“Our quads are really popular among visitors of the centre,” continued Chris.

“But safety for us is paramount for all ages. We teach children all the safety requirements and will even train a child how to ride them and brake safely.

“It costs £15 for the first 15 minutes on a quad bike and then £6 for any additional 15 minutes on the same day.”

Foot golf is another big favourite, especially in the summer, and those who fancy their own precision shooting skills can have a go on a nine hole course for only £4.50 or go for the long haul - and save a pound in the process - by trying 18 holes for £8.

Like foot golf, crazy golf is another new and popular choice for many priced at only £4 per round.

And when it comes to bouncy castles, few - if any - in the county will know more about them than Chris who also owns Kirby’s Kastles.

“We’ve been around for over 12 years making us the longest running castle company in the area. There is so much for kids to bounce on including bouncy castles and slides.

“We also have a bouncy assault course, bouncy boxing, gladiator joust, a playpark, a sweeper, disco domes and even sumo suits. All our castles are fully insured and PIPA tested.”

Those hoping for a relaxing round of golf while the kids are busy being entertained are in luck.

The centre has a popular nine hole golf course that’s open seven days a week to members and new visitors.

The course itself offers a 250 yard floodlit driving range where golfers can practice their swings all year round where there are also eight indoor and eight outdoor bays, each with a selection of tees for different clubs.

Food and drink is also available at Caddies Kabin, which is situated at the club house.

Burger, chips, snacks and drinks - including alcoholic beverages - are served while there is also a Special Free Area for younger children for exclusive Caddies customers.

Visitors are welcome to bring your own picnics to eat at the Quads and Kastles picnic area but no alcohol can be brought on site.
