Fenland school's fireworks spectacular is back with a bang for its 42nd year
A Fenland school's popular fireworks night is back with a bang this year and promises to be bigger and better than ever.
Wisbech St Mary Academy is holding its Fireworks Spectacular, which is widely acknowledged as one of the best in the area, on November 6.
It will be the 42nd year the school has held the fundraising event and organisers are promising it will be an extra special night with a bonfire, music, fun, food and of course fireworks. In fact over two displays timed at 6.15pm and 7.30pm 1,605 fireworks will light up the sky with £4,000 of pyrotechnic magic.
The event opens at 5.15pm with the bonfire lighting at 5.30pm. There will be many stalls including a raffle, tombolas, refreshments, neons and food stalls.
There will also be a disco, seating area, children's ride and an amazing steam engine.
The ticket price has been held this year and makings the event amazing value at just £5 for adults and £4 for children (pre school children free).
The event is organised by a team of parents, teachers and friends of the Academy and money raised pays for extras in the school.
