Fenland village Post Office hit by ram raiders

Ram raiders have struck in Fenland for a second time in just a few days - this time targeting the Post Office in Walsoken.

A JCB low loader was used to smash through the front of the store before the culprits made off with the cash machine.

The incident, which happened at about 1am, follows a similar attack on the Nisa convenience store in Chatteris on Thursday (6) night.

Police are linking the Chatteris raid to an incident which happened in Milton Road, Cambridge earlier on Thursday.

Scenes of crime officers were at the Walsoken Post Office and police remain on site.
