Fenland woman charged with assaulting police officer

A Fenland woman has been charged with assaulting a police officer and damaging a police van in Wisbech at the weekend.
Emma Weston, 30, was arrested at her home address in Cox Close, Wisbech, in the early hours of last Saturday morning (October 17) after police were called to a disturbance and an officer was spat at.
She has since been charged with assaulting an emergency worker, criminal damage to a police vehicle and using threatening or disorderly behaviour with intent to cause harassment, alarm or distress.
She has been bailed to appear at Peterborough Magistrates’ Court on November 30.
