Get your Christmas shopping sorted at the Sandringham Craft, Food and Gift Fair

With Christmas not too far away now, the traditional Sandringham Craft, Food and Gift Fair, on November 15-17, provides the chance to do some festive shopping.

Over the past few years the fair, organised by Living Heritage Events, has grown into one of the area’s top Christmas fairs.

It includes a diverse array of craftspeople and artists presenting unique and special gifts.

You’ll be able to watch them at work, with regular demonstrations of glass-blowing, blacksmithing, chainsaw carving, wood-turning and traditional country crafts.

The large, fine food halls offer you the chance to taste before you buy on most stalls; and there will be hot coffee, chocolate, mulled wine or cider to choose from, too, for a well-earned break.

Get some Christmas cooking ideas from the Living Heritage chefs, headlined by Andrea Wallace.

They will be demonstrating their recipes in the Country Kitchen area.

The gift and shopping arcades have a wide range of ladies’ fashions, jewellery and accessories, tweed and waterproof clothing, household goods, furniture, leather and garden items.

New attractions at the fair this year include a synthetic ice skating rink and the Alternative Cabaret Tent with a varied bill of magic and illusion, comedy and the Balloon Science Show by Balloonatic. Live entertainment will be held throughout each day.

The ice skating sessions operate on a 30-minute cycle throughout each day, and each session includes skate selection and return. Charges per session are £5 per person or £15 per family (two adults, two children).

Keeping the children entertained will be Santa Claus, Reindeer Unicorns, interactive ice carving, jesters, Medieval games and amusements.

Tickets will also be available at the entrance to the show. The fair can be found at the Sandringham Estate, in Norfolk (PE35 6EN for sat navs).

It’s open from 10am to 5pm each day.
