Festive fun at Rose Lodge in Wisbech at the annual Christmas party

Father Christmas paid a surprise early visit to a Wisbech care home for the annual festive party.

Residents at Rose Lodge in Walton Road, enjoyed the party which included a sing-along to Christmas songs, a buffet as well as mulled wine and mine pies.

There was a Christmas raffle and Santa himself chatted to the residents and handed out gifts of chocolate.

Jane Ritchie, activities co-ordinator, said: "It was a lovely afternoon, everyone enjoyed themselves. We not only had a surprise visit from Father Christmas, but Wisbech mayor Peter Human also popped in to join the fun."
