Fire crews from Downham Market and Wisbech battle fire at Tointons Road in Upwell

Fire crews were called to battle a village blaze yesterday evening.

Appliances from Downham and Wisbech attended a building fire at Tointons Road in Upwell at 4.12pm on Tuesday.

Teams wore breathing apparatus during the incident and used hose reel jets to extinguish the flames.

A thermal imaging camera was also used to check for hot spots.

The service's stop message was received at 5.38pm.
