Chatteris fire was accidental

An out of control bonfire had to be put out by fire crews over the weekend.

On Saturday afternoon at 2.44pm, a fire crew from Chatteris was called to an open fire on Campole Drove in the town.

Firefighters arrived to find an out of control bonfire and extinguished it. They returned to their station by 4.30pm.

The cause of the fire was accidental.
