An electricity pylon has caused the whole of Wisbech to be “filled with smoke” after bursting into flames.

Appliances from March and Wisbech, alongside a crew from Norfolk, were called at 11.50am to the blaze on Oldfield Lane.

Crews arrived to find an electricity pylon on fire, which then spread to nearby hedging and trees.
