Deer that found itself stuck in netting and water in Wisbech St Mary was rescued by firefighters




A deer who found itself stuck in some netting in the water was rescued by firefighters over the weekend.

The animal was stuck in water on Beechings Close in Wisbech St Mary on Sunday morning.

At 7.37am, fire crews from Wisbech, Dogsthorpe and Stanground were called to help get the deer out of the water.

Using specialist equipment, firefighters rescued and released a deer.

The crews returned to their stations by 8.40am.
