Wisbech and Dogsthorpe firefighters rescue Penny the pony from a ditch after being spooked by a firework




A pony ended up spending the night in a water filled ditch after being spooked by a firework.

Thankfully she is now back in her field thanks to the rescue efforts of Wisbech and Dogsthorpe firefighters earlier today.

A Cambridgeshire Fire and Rescue social media post states: "Poor Penny the Pony was spooked by fireworks and ended up in a water filled ditch all night. Crews from Wisbech and Dogsthorpe came to her rescue this morning and she’s now safely back in the field."
