Flowers fill Fenland church for annual festival
The scent of hundreds of flowers filled a Fenland church as it staged its annual flower festival.
Tydd St Giles Church was filled with stunning arrangements over the weekend.
The festival, held in aid of funds, opened on Friday and ran throughout the weekend.
Friday evening saw a well attended talk by Richard Robbs from Granny’s Cupboard entitled a “Few of my favourite things”.
On Saturday villagers opened their garage doors, yards and gardens for a garage sale, which also proved popular with bargain hunters.
Finally on Sunday the festival closed with a an Evensong, followed by a harvest auction held at the Crown and Mitre pub.
It is not yet known how much was raised by the event but the last flower festival in 2019 raised over £2,000.
