The shots, which contain 35mg of raw turmeric, which is the strongest available on the market, as well as piperine extract which is derived from black pepper and helps the body absorb the active ingredient by up to 2,000 per cent, have been endorsed by nutritionists.

Mr Robson-Kanu has described using turmeric as a pain relief himself as a "lightbulb moment" after being encouraged to try it by his father.

He said after taking it he was pain free for the first time in two years.

The company's relocation to the Fens was supported by the Cambridgeshire and Peterborough Combined Authority together with Fenland District Council who helped with gaining grant funding, recruitment and business support opportunities.

“The Combined Authority’s dedicated Growth Works service has supported The Tumeric Co in its decision to locate its headquarters here and we expect benefits to come to the local economy in the form of growth and jobs.

“Encouraging investment into this region is a big part of what the Combined Authority is here to do and I look forward to seeing The Turmeric Co’s growth plans come to fruition.”

“Located in an already established manufacturing area, it is perfectly placed to take advantage of good road links and supply chain opportunities. I wish them every success in their new home."

Mr Robson-Kanu said his company was delighted for this exciting new chapter and look forward to connecting with the Chatteris community.

He said: "We are delighted for this exciting new chapter and look forward to connecting with the community as we move operations to Chatteris. The move aligns with how we want to scale as a brand and essentially will allow us to implement our sustainability efforts in-house. Progressively employing new staff from across the region is an integral part of our growth, and we look forward to welcoming local talent into our team."
