King’s Lynn Stars speedway rider Lewis Kerr remains in an induced coma following Sunday’s crash at Peterborough.

The very latest news from the hospital today, Tuesday August 4, is that there has been little change in the condition of Lewis Kerr.

Team manager George English said: “The whole speedway community has done what it does best, by rallying around the stricken rider and his family, who have been inundated with messages of support from all over the world.

“However now is the time that the family need to work with the hospital in Lewi’s recovery process, and any misinformation which can be so easily and innocently spread would only cause greater distress at this particular time.

“The family and the managements of both Newcastle and King’s Lynn Speedway thank everyone for all their messages and we ask you to continue to keep Lewi in your thoughts.”

A gofundme page has already raised more than £1,750 to support Lewis and his family following the crash.
