Gallery: A cavalcade of 200 joins 28th annual Wisbech historic car run
Two hundred vehicles of all shapes and sizes took part in the 28th annual Wisbech and District Historic Vehicle Club's car run.
Commercial vehicles were alongside cars, motorbikes and scooters for the run which set off from Somers Road car park in Wisbech heading for Peterborough via Long Sutton, Holbeach and Spalding.
The cavalcade made it to this year's new half-way venue - Bauer Media's headquarters at Lynchwood -where the vehicles were on show for a couple of hours before making the return journey, this time via Whittlesey, Coates, and Wisbech St Mary.
Back in Wisbech there was a static display from about 2pm onwards, however, it was cut short as the weekend's unpredictable weather finally caught up with the event.
Roger Salter, club chairman, said: "The heavens opened at about 3pm and lots of people decided to call it a day, which meant we were unable to have our annual trophy presentation to round off the event. But we will be contacting the winners and passing on the trophies shortly.
"It was still a great day, 200 vehicles is a fantastic turn-out and we look set to have raised around £1,000 for local charities again this year.
"The members will decide at our October meeting which four good causes will benefit. Everyone is invited to nominate a charity and then four are drawn out of the hat and will receive around £250 each."
